Security Screen Doors & Windows in Long Beach
Long Beach is an easy drive from our Gardena base. We fit custom security screens on Long Beach homes, from Craftsman bungalows near the shore to the ranch homes on the east side.
Older homes: a screen door that suits the house
Long Beach has whole neighborhoods of older homes. Bixby Knolls, California Heights and Belmont Heights are full of Craftsman, Spanish and Tudor homes with front doors worth showing off. The last thing you want is a cage over the entry.
A security screen door does not look like one. From the street it reads as a dark, tidy screen. From inside, you see straight out.
- A hinged security screen door for the front entry, with its own lock.
- Window screens on the street side, framed to match the door.
- Fire-escape screens on bedroom windows, so they can stay open at night and still open from inside.
Live in a historic district such as California Heights? The city reviews changes to the outside of homes there, so check with the city before you order. Ask Roman for the product details you need for that conversation.

Ranch homes and patio sliders on the east side
Head east to Los Altos and the mid-century tracts toward the San Gabriel River and the houses change. Single-story ranch homes, big back yards and plenty of glass. The Cliff May homes of Rancho Estates are known for walls of it.
Glass is lovely until you want it open at night. A sliding security screen runs on its own track in front of the glass door. Slide the glass back, lock the screen, and the evening air comes in.
- Two, three and four-panel sliders can all be fitted.
- The screen is built so it cannot be lifted off its track from outside.
- Wide openings can take stacking screens, and French doors take a matching pair.
Belmont Shore, Naples and the shoreline: mind the salt
Long Beach has miles of coastline. The nearer your home is to the water, the more salt there is in the air, and salt is what stains and rusts lower grades of steel.
Our screens use 316 marine-grade stainless steel mesh. It is strongly recommended within 3 miles of the ocean, which takes in Belmont Shore, Naples and the neighborhoods along Ocean Boulevard, and it is still the suggested grade farther inland.
Long Beach questions
Do you come to Long Beach?
Yes. We are based in Gardena, and Long Beach is well within the area we cover. Call or text to set up a time for Roman to measure.
I live in a historic district. Can I still have a security screen door?
Often, yes, but the city has the final say on changes to the outside of homes in its historic districts. Check with the city first. Every screen is made to measure, and the frame color can be chosen to suit the house.
Can you screen a whole wall of glass?
Usually. Large openings can take sliding or stacking screens. Roman measures each opening and tells you straight what will work.
